State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT)
The SCERT has a mandate of providing research and consultancy support primarily on syllabus & teacher training related matters to SED. The key functions of SCERT are listed below:

  • Research: SCERT is responsible for research on various topics related to school education like curriculum development, training needs assessment for teachers, etc.


  • Training Co-ordination: SCERT is responsible for monitoring the performance of District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) which were set up under the Perspective Plan for Teacher Education


  • Programme Support: SCERT conducts various support activities like surveys, feedback analysis for various programmes like Mid Day Meal Scheme.
